I am just curious…was “Skywalker” like the “Johnson” or “Smith” of the Star Wars galaxy? I mean, that would totally explain that scene in Empire where the Emperor tells Darth Vader that Luke is Vader’s kid and Vader says, “Are you sure?” Seriously, maybe there are Skywalkers on every planet. “Oh, you must be talking about the Skywalkers of Kashyyyk…yeah, never met them.”
And you know, people always comment on how gross it is once you know Luke and Leia are twins-since she kisses Luke on the lips, early in Empire. But this news story doesn’t make that seem all that bizarre anymore. In fact, since they were not fully aware, it all makes a bit of sense…still is an “ick” factor…but still, scientifically speaking…it makes some sense.

I’ve wondered too about the wisdom of hiding Luke on the birth planet of Anakin, with ppl who are CLOSE to Anakin and KEEPING HIS LAST NAME.
Obi-Wan changing his name to “Ben” but keeping his last name as Kenobi, isn’t that smart either.
