Seriously? I mean, seriously? Christianity predated Christ??? I mean, it’s there in the name — Christ-ianity! The worship of Christ! How the FUCK could there be Christ-worshippers… before there was a Christ to worship????
Oh, and as far as being more worried about feeding her child than knowing whether the earth is round… the kid’s belly may be full, but his head will be empty.
This is why I don’t watch crap like “The View.” It ought to be renamed “Bimbos With Oral Flatulence.”

OK, I’m going to take a shot at explaining the poll results, not Sheri. If you believe in a Triune God, then Christ predates the Greeks, predates everything. “In the beginning” and all that.
I think the poll creates a false dichotomy, because one COULD believe that Christ predates Judaism, the Greeks and whatnot. Whereas Christianity, reflective of when Jesus reportedly came to earth, obviously is only a couple millennia old. In other words, you could check yes to Jesus in the poll and STILL think that Sheri is impaired.

Yeah…I think it’s one thing if Sheri were appealing to the theological premise that Jesus is the Word, and the Word was with God in the beginning. But she was mixing it with historical facts-which leads me to believe that is not what she meant. But you make a good point about the possible reasoning of people answering the poll.

Well, given that she’s not sure whether the Earth is round or flat, I tend to doubt she could even wrap her mind around the concept of a “triune God.”
And I’d be careful about giving too much credit to those poll respondents who believe Jesus came before the Greeks. This is a nation in which one-third of all adults cannot name the current U.S. vice president.

Oh, in Sheri’s case, I am pretty sure the triune God aspect was not what she was referring to-she clearly states Christians were being fed to the lions as predating the greeks.
